On July 15,2025, Tianzhou 9 cargo spacecraft was successfully launched at Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan Province and docked with China Space Station. The mission carried a “brain organoid chip” developed by Dalian Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The device simulates the structure of the human brain and aims to study the effects of space environment on the nervous system and provide new clues for the research of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease.
